About Julie Klausner
Julie Klausner, born on July 3, 1978 in New York City, is an American author, comedienne, podcaster and screenwriter. She is best known for her role as Julie Kessler on the Hulu sitcom Difficult People which she co-created and wrote with Billy Eichner. Klausner graduated from the School of Visual Arts before studying improvisational comedy at the Upright Citizen’s Brigade theater.
In January 2010, Klausner published her first book titled I Don’t Care About Your Band, an autobiographical memoir. Her podcast How Was Your Week? was recognized by Rolling Stone as one of the “10 Best Comedy Podcasts at the Moment” in 2012.
She was born and raised in New York City.
