About Julide Ates
Julide Ates (born May 5, 1971) is a Turkish TV show host known for presenting the news on popular stations such as Kanal D, NTV, and TGRT. Her career began in 1991 when she started as a presenter on various programs on Star TV before becoming the main anchor at Star TV News in 1993.
A graduate of Bogazici University with a degree in English language teaching, Ates also held the title of Miss Turkey in 1990 and finished ninth in the Miss Universe contest. In 2001, she married journalist Emre Iskeceli with whom she has a son named Sinan.
