About Julia Alcantara
Julia Alcantara is a Brazilian fashion designer and entrepreneur, known for her role as the creative director and co-founder of the diverse brand ORNA.
Alcantara began her career in 2010 when she started Tudo Orna with her two sisters, which focused on style and aesthetics. In 2014, they expanded their ventures by launching ORNA, a leather goods brand. Subsequently, they expanded to include makeup and cosmetics in 2016 and began offering an online branding course in 2017.
In 2018, the trio opened their first physical venture – a coffee shop named Orna Cafe located in Curitiba. Before embarking on her entrepreneurial journey, Alcântara completed her Design degree at Federal University of Technology Parana before furthering her education with studies in Fashion Design at the Savannah College of Art and Design.
In addition to being a businesswoman and designer, Julia Alcantara has been featured in Elle Magazine’s “A New Moment For Fashion” article that was published in 2017. She comes from a close-knit family consisting of parents Laura Borges and Raul Alcantara alongside two sisters — Barbara Alcantara and Debora Alcantara — who are also involved as business partners within their various ventures.
