About Juju Watkins
Juju Watkins (born July 15, 2005) is an American collegiate basketball player currently playing for the USC Trojans of the Pac-12 Conference. She gained recognition as the number one recruit in her class by ESPN while attending Sierra Canyon High School.
Watkins began playing basketball at a young age and honed her skills under the guidance of Phil Handy, assistant coach for the Los Angeles Lakers. At Windward School, she excelled on the court and earned accolades such as being named the Los Angeles Times Player of the Year.
Notable achievements include leading Team USA to gold medals at both the 2022 FIBA Under-17 World Cup and the 2021 FIBA Under-16 Americas Championship, where she was recognized as most valuable player in each tournament.
In addition to her athletic success, Watkins made history during her junior year in high school by becoming Klutch Sports Agency’s first female athlete client, joining an esteemed roster representing athletes like LeBron James and Lonzo Ball. In October 2022, she inked a name, image, and likeness deal with Nike.
