Juanita Bynum is a renowned religious author, televangelist, and singer born on January 16, 1959 in Chicago, Illinois. She gained recognition for producing the 1997 audio and videotape series “No More Sheets” and releasing the 2006 musical album “Gospel Goes Classical.” Bynum also organized the Women’s Weapons of Power Conference, an annual event from 2000 to 2006.
Before rising to fame, she attended boarding school in Lexington, Mississippi after her early years in Chicago. Bynum’s talent as a speaker was discovered by Bishop T.D. Jakes at a singles’ conference in 1996.
Notably, she has released several gospel music albums including “The Diary of Juanita Bynun” and “Morning Glory.” In both her first marriage during the ’80s as well as her second marriage to Thomas Wesley Weeks, she endured domestic abuse. After six years of marriage with Weeks, they divorced in 2008.
