Jonny McGovern, born on July 12, 1976 in Brooklyn, New York, is a stand-up comedian widely recognized for his gay comedy persona known as The Gay Pimp. He has released stand-up albums including “Gays Gone Wild” (2007) and was a cast member on the Logo sketch comedy series The Big Gay Sketch Show.
Prior to his comedic career, he lived in countries such as Egypt and Thailand during his childhood before earning a BFA from Boston University. He also hosts the LGBT-themed podcast titled “Gay Pimpin’ with Jonny McGovern.”
McGovern’s parents are Mary McGovern and Rob Gutowski.
