About Johanna Solano
Johanna Solano (born October 9, 1990) is a Costa Rican model and television host. She gained recognition after winning the Miss Costa Rica pageant in 2011, which enabled her to compete in the 2011 Miss Universe pageant. In addition to her pageantry success, she was a contestant on the 2019 season of Dancing with the Stars.
Prior to her fame, Solano first made waves in 2009 when she won the Miss Latin America beauty pageant. Two years later, she secured victory at the Miss Costa Rica pageant, earning her a spot at Miss Universe – marking Costa Rica’s first Top 10 placement since 2004.
Beyond modeling and television work, Solano has pursued a career in fitness and regularly participates in triathlons and Ironman events. She shares more about these endeavors with her Instagram following of over 600,000.
Solano was born and raised in San Jose as the second of four children born to Sergio Solano Serrano and Ileana Lopez Araya.
