About Jodie Whittaker
Jodie Whittaker is a film and TV star best known for her role as Beth Latimer in Broadchurch. She’s also starred in Attack the Block, One Day and St. Trinians. In 2017, she was cast as the 13th Doctor on Doctor Who after graduating from Guildhall School of Music and Drama with a gold medal in acting. Her breakout role was 2006’s Venus, followed by 2009’s Oscar-nominated Wish 143. She married American actor Christian Contreras in 2008 and they had their first child together in 2015. Jodie made appearances alongside Gemma Arterton both on the 2008 miniseries Tess of the DUrbervilles and 2007 movie St. Trinians too!
