About Jodie Evans
Jodie Evans (born September 22, 1954) is an American activist known for founding the left-wing Code Pink: Women for Peace activist group. She has organized protests at various high-profile events, including a Karl Rove book signing and a Sarah Palin Republican National Convention speech.
Before dedicating herself to activism, Evans worked as a hotel maid and became involved in social justice causes after participating in a labor march during her teenage years.
In addition to her work as an activist, Evans is also recognized as a documentary filmmaker with credits such as The People Speak (2009), We Are Many (2013), and The Yes Men Are Revolting (2014).
She grew up in Las Vegas, Nevada, before relocating to the Venice neighborhood of Los Angeles. Jodie was married to computer scientist, philanthropist, and art collector Max Palevsky until his passing in 2010.
