Joana Metrass, born on January 11, 1988 in Lisbon, Portugal, is a Portuguese TV actress. She is best known for her role as Guinevere in the popular ABC series Once Upon a Time. Prior to making a name for herself internationally, she gained fame through appearances in Portuguese shows such as Sinais de Vida and Morangos com Açucar.
Metrass moved to the United States at the age of seventeen to complete her primary education before returning to Portugal where she pursued acting at the Lisbon Theatre and Film School. She graduated with a BA in acting.
Not only is Metrass talented as an actress, but she is also multilingual – fluent in Portuguese, English, Spanish, Italian, and French. Her diverse heritage includes Italian, French Argentinian and Chinese roots. Additionally she has a sister named Marta.
