About Jo Pavey
Jo Pavey, born on September 20, 1973 in England, is a British long-distance runner and five-time Olympian. Notably, she secured a gold medal at the 2014 European Championships just ten months after giving birth to her second child, setting the record as the oldest female European champion at the age of 40.
Pavey’s journey in running began at Exeter Harriers Athletics Club in 1987. Throughout her career, she achieved remarkable successes such as securing fourth place in the 10,000 meter event at the 2007 World Championships and claiming fifth place in the 5,000 meter race during the 2004 Olympic Games.
She is currently coached by her husband Gavin Pavey and has two children.
