Jillian Morris-Brake (born October 22, 1982) is an Instagram star, professional diver, and marine biologist known for her content centering on shark education and conservation. She is also the founder of the educational site Sharks4Kids.
From a young age, Jillian expressed her passion for marine biology. She attended the University of New England to earn her degree in marine biology and began her professional career in 2005. In 2013, she launched Sharks4Kids.com with the goal of educating children about sharks and promoting advocacy. The same year, she also started to engage more on social media platforms.
Jillian’s dedication has earned several accolades including being named Scuba Diving Magazine’s July 2016 Sea Hero, receiving the inaugural Shark Con Shark Hero Award in 2017, and being awarded Go Blue Awards’ 2020 Blue Ambassador of the Year title. Additionally, she authored “Norman the Nurse Shark” and “Shark Super Powers.”
Born and raised in Maine to parents who shared her passion for water and marine life, Jillian married in 2008 and now has a daughter.
