Jill Balcon (January 3, 1925 – July 18, 2009) was an English film and radio actress. She is best known for her role in the 1947 film adaptation of “Nicholas Nickleby.” Born in England, she attended Roedean School as a child and developed a passion for poetry.
Balcon married Cecil Day-Lewis in 1951 and they remained together until his death in 1972. They had two children.
