About Jessica Henriquez
Jessica Henriquez is a Colombian American writer and editor, born on August 27, 1985 in Colombia. She is known for her work as a novelist and her writings have been featured in prominent publications such as the New York Times’ Modern Love column, Self Magazine, Cosmopolitan, Teen Vogue and Marie Claire. Her writing predominantly focuses on essays and narrative journalism.
Prior to establishing herself as an accomplished writer, Jessica pursued higher education at Columbia University where she obtained an MFA. Additionally, she holds a bachelor’s degree in elementary education and child studies from East Carolina University.
Jessica has been based in New York City where she has also imparted knowledge by teaching non-fiction writing. She was previously married to actor Josh Lucas from 2012 to 2014 with whom she shares a son.
