About Jenny Nimmo
Jenny Nimmo (born January 15, 1944) is an English-born children’s author known for her fantasy novels. She achieved critical acclaim with The Magician Trilogy and the Children of the Red King series. Nimmo received a Nestle Smarties Book Prize for her work on The Snow Spider in 1986.
Prior to becoming a successful author, Nimmo worked as a television writer for the BBC. Her first book, The Bronze Trumpeter, originally originated as a screenplay. Additionally, she has written chapter books such as the Delilah and Box Boys book series.
Born in England and raised in Wales, Jenny Nimmo currently resides with her husband David Millward and their three children: Myfanwy, Ianto, and Gwenhwyfar.
