About Jenny Arthur
Jenny Arthur (born December 11, 1993) is a weightlifter from Gainesville, Georgia. She achieved recognition for breaking the American record in the Women’s 75kg category at the 2016 Summer Olympics and finished sixth in her first Olympic Games in Rio de Janeiro.
Prior to her weightlifting career, Arthur took up the sport in October 2009 as a means to enhance her track and softball abilities.
She also received one of the highest rankings of any American athlete at the senior-level World Championships in 2015. Jenny was born as the fifth child among eight siblings.
