Jennie Kim is a South Korean pop singer born on January 16, 1996, in Seoul. She gained widespread popularity in 2016 as a member of the four-piece girl group Black Pink under YG Entertainment. Their debut EP, Square One, was released on August 8, 2016.
Prior to her debut with Black Pink, Jennie appeared in G-Dragon’s music video for “That XX” and contributed to his single “Black.” The group made their performance debut on SBS’s Inkigayo on August 14, 2016. In addition to her music career, she was also featured as a cast member of the HBO show The Idol in 2023.
