About Jenna Johnson
Jenna Johnson (born April 12, 1994) is an Instagram star and former competitor on the hit television shows So You Think You Can Dance and Dancing with the Stars. Born in Provo, Utah, she began her dance training at the age of 3 in a variety of styles including ballroom, ballet, jazz, contemporary, and hip hop.
Johnson rose to prominence as a member of a dance troupe on Dancing with the Stars before becoming a contestant on So You Think You Can Dance’s 10th season. In 2018, she won the mirror ball trophy as champion of Dancing with the Stars’ special season 26 alongside partner Adam Rippon.
Outside of her TV appearances, Johnson also teaches private ballroom dancing and has served as a mentor to aspiring dancers on reality competition shows like So You Think You Can Dance: The Next Generation.
Born into a family of six children to Curt Johnson and Tamara Jean in Provo, Utah; Jenna married fellow DWTS professional Valentin Chmerkovskiy in April 2019 after dating since 2017. They announced their first pregnancy in July 2022 and welcomed their son into the world in January 2023.
