About Jen Brister
Jen Brister is a British comedian, actress, and author. She was born on February 10, 1975 in Kingston upon Thames, England. Known for her solo tours and performances with comedy partners such as Clare Wade, she made her debut at the 2006 Edinburgh Festival Fringe and has since toured extensively.
In 2019, Brister released her first book, The Other Mother: A Wickedly Honest Parenting Tale for Every Kind of Family. Her work extends beyond stand-up as she has also been a panelist and presenter on BBC and TEDx programs.
Before pursuing a career in entertainment, Brister attended Richmond College followed by drama studies at Middlesex University in London. In addition to touring in England, she has performed internationally in Australia and Scotland.
Born to an English father and Spanish mother in Kingston-upon-Thames where she grew up among three brothers. Notably known for incorporating comedic anecdotes about her family life into her work; Brister’s partner Chloe Martin gave birth to their twin boys in September 2014.
