About Jelka Van Houten
Jelka Van Houten is a Dutch TV actress born on September 1, 1978, in the Netherlands. She has made significant contributions to film, television, and theater and has been recognized with a nomination for a Gouden Notekraker as well as winning a Johnny Kraaijkamp Musical Award for her role in the musical Turks Fruit.
Before pursuing her acting career, she studied production design at the Netherlands Film and Television Academy. Her notable work includes playing the character Sabine from 2012 to 2013 in the television series Fresh Meat.
Van Houten comes from an artistic family background – her sister is renowned actress Carice van Houten. In November of 2020, she welcomed her first child Bonnie with comedian Henry van Loon.
