Jeanne Cooper (1928-10-25) was an American soap opera actress born in Taft, California. She is known for her role as Katherine Chancellor on The Young and the Restless and became one of the longest-acting American soap opera actors before her death in 2013.
Cooper made her acting debut in the 1953 film “The Redhead from Wyoming” and went on to win a Daytime Emmy Award for her role on The Young and the Restless in 2008.
She married Harry Bernsen in 1954, with whom she had three children, but they later divorced in 1977.
