jazz Jennings is an American LGBT rights activist, born on October 6, 2000, in Florida. Notable for her work as an activist and for openly embracing her transgender identity from a young age, she has made significant contributions to raising awareness and advocating for the rights of the LGBTQ+ community.
Jennings gained widespread attention through her participation in a YouTube video series titled “I am jazz,” which followed her personal journey as a transgender individual. Subsequently, she starred in a TLC docu-series by the same name starting in July 2015.
At just four years old, Jennings received a gender identity disorder diagnosis and later became known for appearing on live television with her parents to discuss her experiences growing up as a transgender person.
