About Jayna Hefford
Jayna Hefford is a Canadian women’s ice hockey player who was born on May 14, 1977, in Canada. She is known for winning three Olympic gold medals with Team Canada in 2002, 2006, and 2010. Before rising to fame, she won a gold medal at the 1994 national under-18 championship playing for Team Ontario.
She also holds the trivia of being Team Canada’s leading scorer in the 1999 and 2000 World Championships. Jayna Hefford tragically lost her father, Larry Hefford, to cancer in 2007.
