Janet Evanovich, born on April 22, 1943 in South River, New Jersey, is a renowned novelist. She is widely acclaimed for her bestselling works including “One for the Money,” “Hot Six,” and “Notorious Nineteen” from the popular Stephanie Plum mystery series. Additionally, she has written romance novels such as “Manhunt,” “Love Overboard,” and the Elsie Hawkins series.

Prior to her literary success, Janet studied art at Douglass College of Rutgers University and published her first romance novel, “Hero at Large,” in 1987. Notably, she released “Metro Girl,” initiating her Barnaby trilogy, in 2004.

Janet grew up in South River alongside her family before marrying Pete Evanovich. Together they had two children: Peter and Alexandra.
