Janelly Farias (born February 12, 1990) is a versatile soccer player from Santa Ana, California. She gained fame for her club career with LA Galaxy Orange County beginning in 2018 and has represented Mexico internationally since 2007.
Before rising to national prominence in the US for her collegiate play at UC-Irvine Anteaters in 2011, Farias competed around the globe, including playing in the Women’s Champions League with Apollon Ladies F.C. in 2017.
In addition to her successful soccer career, Farias is openly lesbian and has been romantically involved with fellow soccer players Natalie Higgins and Rebeca Bernal.
Farias was selected to represent Mexico at the 2019 FIFA World Cup as part of their women’s national team.
