Jane Leeves, born on April 18, 1961 in England, is a TV actress known for her role as Daphne Moon on the hit NBC sitcom Frasier from 1993 to 2004. She also appeared as a cast member on the TV Land show Hot in Cleveland, which premiered in 2010. Leeves received Emmy and Golden Globe Award nominations for her portrayal of Daphne Moon.
Before pursuing an acting career, Leeves trained as a ballet dancer at the Bush Davies School of Dance, but had to change paths after injuring her ankle. She started out as a dancer in films like Monty Python’s The Meaning of Life and later became a regular on The Benny Hill Show.
In 1996, she married Marshall Coben, who was a CBS Paramount Television executive at the time. The couple has one daughter and one son. Notably, her Fraiser co-stars serve as godparents to her children.
