About Jane Henson
Jane Henson was born on June 16, 1934 in New York City, New York. She is best known as a puppeteer and the former spouse of Jim Henson, the creator of The Muppets.
Before gaining fame, she attended the University of Maryland, College Park, where she worked alongside Jim Henderson on the 1950s television show Sam and Friends. They later married in 1959 and had five children together.
In 1992, Jane established The Jim Henson Legacy to preserve her late husband’s creations after his passing. Her work has contributed significantly to preserving and promoting Jim Henson’s legacy in the world of puppetry and entertainment.
