Jane Child is a Canadian pop singer born on February 15, 1967, in Toronto, Canada. She gained fame as a synth-pop songwriter and is best known for her hit song “Don’t Wanna Fall in Love,” which was released in 1990. The song earned her the 1991 Juno Award for Dance Recording of the Year for its remix.Before pursuing a career in music, Child was part of the Canadian Opera Company as a child. Her unique fashion sense also made her stand out, as she often sported spiked hair, long braids, and nose chains.In 2004, Jane Child married Cat Grey.
