Jane Asher is a British movie actress, born on April 5, 1946 in England. She first made her acting debut in the 1952 film Mandy and later gained recognition for her roles in films such as Deep End (1970) and Alfie (1966). Notably, she starred alongside Laurence Olivier in A Voyage Round My Father.
Aside from her successful career on screen, Asher is also known for her family life. In 1981, she married illustrator Gerald Scarfe with whom she has three children; Katie, Alexander and Rory. Additionally, Asher comes from a talented family of entertainers including radio actress Clare Asher and Peter Asher – a record producer and member of the band Peter and Gordon.
