Before pursuing her music career, Dreyer was involved in professional equestrianism. In 2013, she received nominations for a Canadian Radio Music Award and a Canadian Country Music Association Award.
Dreyer spent most of her childhood in Latimer, Iowa before moving to various states during her teenage years. She eventually split her time between Nashville, Tennessee and Los Angeles, California.
