About Jacqueline West
Jacqueline West is an American children’s author best known for her New York Times bestselling children’s series The Books of Elsewhere. She was born on December 29, 1979 in Minnesota and spent her formative years in River Falls, Wisconsin. West graduated from the University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire and continued her studies at Edgewood College and the University of Wisconsin-Madison.
In addition to her popular book series, West has also been recognized for her Pushcart Prize-nominated poems “Lakeside” and “Obituary Clipping, in an Envelope.” Her debut volume from The Books of Elsewhere series, titled The Shadows, received critical acclaim and was shortlisted for several prestigious literary awards including the Louisiana Young Readers’ Choice Award; the Texas Bluebonnet Award; and the Illinois Bluestem Award.
After marrying Ryan West, Jacqueline settled in Red Wing, Minnesota where she currently resides with her family.
