About Izzy Keane
Izzy Keane, born on February 21, 1997 in Ireland, is best known as the inspiration behind and main brand ambassador for Izzy Wheels. As an entrepreneur, she co-founded the company with her sister Ailbhe in September 2016 with the aim of bringing glamour to wheelchair users like herself.
Keane was born with spina bifida, leading to her reliance on a wheelchair for mobility. Her sister’s idea to establish Izzy Wheels came about in 2015 as a means of empowering individuals living with disabilities.
In recognition of their efforts, Keane and her sister were awarded the Accenture Leaders of Tomorrow Award in 2017. They also made Forbes’ annual European 30 Under 30 list in 2018.
Keane is four years younger than her sister Ailbhe.
