Itati Cantoral is a Mexican telenovela actress and singer born on May 13, 1975 in Mexico City, Mexico. She is best known for her roles as Soraya Montenegro in Maria la del Barrio, Alejandra Alvarez del Castillo in Hasta Que El Dinero Nos Separe and Isabel Duran de Velasco in Televisa’s Amores con trampa.
Cantoral was accepted into the Televisa actors’ academy at the age of 13 and made her TV debut in 1986 in the series La telarana. She has won TVyNovelas Awards for Best Female Antagonist in Maria la del barrio and Sin pecado concebido as well as Best Lead Actress for Hasta Que El Dinero Nos Separe.
In her personal life, she has children named Jose Eduardo and Roberto Miguel with her first ex-husband Eduardo Santamarina. She also has a daughter named Maria Itati Cruz with Carlos Alberto Cruz, to whom she was married from 2008 to 2014. Itati is the daughter of Mexican composer Roberto Cantoral and Argentine actress Itati Zucchi.
