Ita Buttrose, born on January 17, 1942 in Australia, is a renowned journalist and businesswoman. She is best known for founding Cleo magazine and serving as the editor of Australian Women’s Weekly.
Prior to her fame, Ita began her career at the young age of 15 as a magazine copy girl. She made history by becoming the youngest person to be appointed editor of the Weekly.
In 1963, she married Alasdair Macdonald with whom she had two children.
