Issabela Camil is a Mexican soap opera actress born on February 6, 1969, in Mexico City. She first gained fame in 2002 for her role as Gloria Ocampo in the telenovela Lo que es el amor. Since then, she has appeared in popular shows such as Abyss of Passion, Gossip Girl: Acapulco, What Life Took from Me, and Passion and Power.
Prior to her acting career, Camil earned small roles in episodes of Walker Texas Ranger and The Sentinel during the early 1990s. In 2015 she made a guest appearance as Flavia on the CW series Jane the Virgin.
Camil comes from a family with ties to entertainment; her brother is renowned film actor Jaime Camil and her husband is television star Sergio Mayer.
