Isley Reust is a German-American photographer and guide living in Iceland, born on July 25, 1983 in Whittier, California. She is also known as a TikTok star, posting scenic videos and photos on her isleyreust account where she has gathered over 270,000 followers.
Prior to gaining fame on social media, Isley worked as a composer and actress. She has composed music for TV shows and appeared on AOL’s True Trans with Laura Jane Grace.
Isley openly shared that she struggled with her gender identity since the age of four an eventually came out as transgender when she was in her mid-20s.
She spent years working as a composer and actor for film and television before relocating to the small fishing village of Isafjordur in Iceland. In this remote location, Isely now works as an arctic adventure guide while continuing to travel the world capturing stunning photographs and videos.
In terms of personal life, Isely came out as transgender after high school making an enlightening revelation to her sister who responded with support saying “I knew it!”. She holds dual citizenship in Germany and the United States of America having been raised in San Francisco.
