About Isidora Goreshter
Isidora Goreshter, born on October 24, 1981 in Long Beach, California, is a TV actress best known for her role as Svetlana in the Showtime series Shameless. She has also appeared in movies such as Paranoia, The Petal Pushers and A Leading Man.
Before pursuing her acting career, Goreshter studied classical ballet and then trained at the Stella Adler Conservatory. She graduated from California State University Long Beach with degrees in art history and theatre.
Aside from her work on screen, she has also starred in numerous Broadway productions including Beirut, Waiting for Godot and The Smell of the Kill.
Goreshter was born and raised in Long Beach, California. She was named after her maternal grandfather Izzy who passed away just before her family immigrated from the former Soviet Union; she was the first person in her family to be born in the United States.
