About Iris Johansen
Iris Johansen (born April 7, 1938 in Missouri) is an American novelist known for her work in the genres of romance and crime thrillers. Some of her notable works include White Satin (1985), A Tough Man to Tame (1991), The Killing Game (1999), and Eight Days to Live (2010).
Johansen published her first romance novel, Touch the Horizon, in 1984 before gaining popularity with the launch of her Eve Duncan crime series a decade later. In addition to her crime thrillers, she has also written historical romance novels such as The Golden Barbarian and The Beloved Scoundrel.
After growing up in Missouri, Johansen later settled in Georgia where she raised two children. Her son Roy also became involved in literature as an acclaimed fiction author and screenwriter.
