Iris Compiet is a Dutch illustrator and artist born on April 1, 1979. She is known for her highly detailed watercolors of folklore and mythological figures.
Compiet’s works have been featured in several group exhibitions in locations such as Los Angeles, Seattle, and Illinois. She shares her artwork through her personal website and Instagram, where she has over 130,000 followers.
From a young age, Compiet had a passion for myth, fantasy, and folklore. At the age of seven, she vowed to become an artist to express and explore her fascination with the mythological. She began sharing her artwork on Instagram in October 2012 and participated in her first group show at Kosart Gallery in Westmont, Illinois back in 2013.
