Irene the Dream, born on May 23, 1985 in Florida, is an independent recording artist, entrepreneur and model known for her infamous “donk” that gained her social media celebrity status. Irene released a 20-song mixtape called The Dream is Real in 2012 and has amassed over 2.3 million followers to her irenethedreamback Instagram account.
Before gaining fame, Irene sang in her church choir growing up and went through personal struggles such as running away from home at thirteen years old before relocating to live with her father in Atlanta. She also served as CEO for her company Picture Perfect Styles.
Serving as a role model for aspiring artists and entrepreneurs alike, Irene originally hails from Pensacola, Florida and later lived in Atlanta, Georgia under the birth name of Irene Chambless.
