About Ini Edo
Ini Edo, born on April 19, 1982 in Akwa Ibom, Nigeria, is a renowned Nigerian movie actress. She gained prominence in the Nollywood film industry with her debut in the 2003 film Thick Madam and went on to feature in nearly 100 movies over the next decade, including Inale and I’ll Take My Chances.
Prior to her acting career, Edo pursued theater at the University of Uyo and English at the University of Calabar. Notably, she was appointed as a Youth Envoy for the United Nations-Habitat program in 2011.
Educated alongside her two sisters and one brother in Nigeria’s southeastern Akwa Ibom state, Edo married businessman Philip Ehiagwina in 2008 before divorcing him in 2014.
