Indira Weis, born on September 30, 1979 in Germany, is a German pop singer and actress. She gained prominence as a member of the POP/R&B group Bro’Sis, which was formed through the popular German reality series Popstars.
Prior to her fame with Bro’Sis, she participated in the band’s first two albums before leaving the group in May 2003. Besides her solo career, which includes hits like “Beautiful Destination” and “Hol de Radio,” Indira has also found success as an actress in movies such as 2009’s Snowblind and TV shows like Ich bin ein Star.
Born Verena Weis, she acquired the nickname “Indira” during a family trip to India when she was a child. Her mother Manju is of Indian descent.
