About India Hicks
India Hicks is a British model and designer, born on September 5, 1967 in London, England. She gained fame as a model in the 1980s, working for renowned designers such as Ralph Lauren, J. Crew, and Emilio Pucci.
Transitioning from modeling to entrepreneurship, Hicks established her self-titled lifestyle brand, India Hicks Inc., and owns the boutique The Sugar Mill. Additionally, she co-owned The Landing Hotel before pursuing her own ventures.
Hicks showcased her design expertise through hosting Bravo’s TV series Top Design during its second season. She also authored several books including Island Style which became a New York Times Bestseller along with Island Life and Island Beauty.
Born to David and Pamela Hicks, India shares five children with her husband David Flint Wood; one of whom is fostered. Her family lineage extends back to Lord Mountbatten who served as the last viceroy of India.
