About Imelda Papin
Imelda Papin, born on January 26, 1956 in the Philippines, is a world music singer known for her sentimental hit songs “Isang Linggong Pag-ibig” and “Bakit (Kung liligaya ka sa piling ng iba).” In addition to her music career, Papin has had a notable political career, serving as Vice Governor of the Philippine province of Camarines Sur from 1998 until 2004.
Papin briefly attended the University of the East in Manila before graduating from the University of Hawaii with a bachelor’s degree in business. She also hosted television shows such as “Imelda Papin in America” in Los Angeles and “Imelda Papin Voice of the Heart Radio Show” in Las Vegas.
Born and raised in Presentacion, Camarines Sur, Imelda later relocated to Manila.
