Imani Duckette is an American family member born on March 28, 1999, in Atlanta, Georgia. She is the only child of acclaimed television and film actress Jasmine Guy, best known for her role as Whitley on the NBC TV show A Different World. Her mother has also appeared in films such as Harlem Nights and television series including The Vampire Diaries and Grey’s Anatomy.

Duckette made her official television debut as a teenager in 2016. Notably, her mother won four consecutive NAACP Image Awards for ‘Outstanding Lead Actress in a Comedy Series’ during her time on A Different World from 1990 to 1993. Duckette grew up with her family in Atlanta, Georgia.
