About Ilana Glazer
Ilana Glazer, born on April 12, 1987 in New York City, is a TV actress and writer. She is best known for her role as one of the stars and co-creators of the Comedy Central series Broad City alongside Abbi Jacobson. For her portrayal of Ilana Wexler, she was nominated for a Critics’ Choice Television Award for Best Actress in a Comedy Series in 2014.
Prior to gaining fame with Broad City, Glazer took classes at the Upright Citizens Brigade Theatre where she met her future co-star and co-creator Abbi Jacobson. In addition to her television work, she starred in the 2013 film How to Follow Strangers which won top honors at the Lower East Side Film Festival.
Glazer’s parents are Sandi Wexler and Larry Glazer; she also shares an interest in comedy with her older brother by taking UCB classes together. In 2017, she married David Rooklin and they welcomed their first child in July 2021.
