Honoka Katayama, born on February 12, 1998 in Hawaii, is a prominent YouTube star and an accomplished ukulele player. She gained fame as one half of the musical duo Honoka & Azita, alongside her friend and bandmate Azita Ganjali. Together, they have performed at numerous music festivals worldwide and achieved widespread recognition for their renditions of popular songs such as the theme from Hawaii Five-0.

As a child, Honoka began playing the ukulele at the age of 10 and received instruction from Jody Kamisato, who later became her manager. It was at the Ukulele Hale studio in Honolulu where she first crossed paths with Azita Ganjali. Notably, she was named MVP of the 2013 International Ukulele Contest held in Honolulu.

Having been born in Hawaii, Honoka’s talent has not only taken her across the globe but has also allowed her to proudly represent her home state throughout her career.
