About Hodan Nalayeh
Hodan Nalayeh (born March 23, 1976) is a Somali-Canadian media executive and activist. She was born in Las Anod, Somalia, and later moved to Canada with her family in 1984.
Nalayeh is best known for her role as the President of the Cultural Integration Agency and as the host of IntegrationTV on Omni TV, a show dedicated to inspiring and connecting Somalis and Muslims in media.
She completed a bachelor’s degree in communications at the University of Windsor before earning a postgraduate certificate in broadcast journalism from Seneca College.
In addition to her work on IntegrationTV, Nalayeh has also served as a producer for popular television shows such as American Idol and So You Think You Can Dance.
Family-wise, Nalayeh grew up with four brothers and seven sisters. She is also a mother of two sons.
