Helena Nordheim Feet

Helena Nordheim was a Dutch gymnast born on August 1, 1903, in the Netherlands. She rose to prominence as a gold medal-winning gymnast at the 1928 Amsterdam Summer Olympics. Tragically, she became a victim of the Holocaust and passed away in the Sobibor concentration camp.

Prior to gaining fame at the Olympics, Helena Nordheim was an integral part of the Dutch artistic gymnastics team. Her athletic prowess and dedication earned her a place among the elite athletes of her time.

In a tragic turn of events, Helena Nordheim was first sent to Westerbork concentration camp before being ultimately transported to Sobibor where she met her untimely fate.

Despite facing such adversity, Helena Nordheim had a family life outside of sports. She was married to Abraham and shared her life with their daughter Rebbecca.
