Helen Shaver is a Canadian actress best known for her roles in film and television. She was born on February 24, 1951, in Canada. One of her notable achievements includes winning a Canadian Film Award in the Best Lead Actress category for her portrayal of Ann MacDonald in the 1978 film “The Praise of Older Women.”
Prior to finding success as an actress, Shaver faced health challenges, including suffering from rheumatic fever from the age of five until she was twelve years old. This illness required her to spend six months out of every year in the hospital.
